Every client’s vision tells a story - how they live, what they value, and the rhythm of their everyday life. By helping them shape their ideas into clear intention, we create a framework that empowers them to move forward with confidence. The spaces that emerge are both functional and deeply personal, each shaped by a challenge, guided by a clear direction, and brought to life with purpose.
Beach Cabin Remodel -
Small Space Lives Large
This 1958 Whidbey Island beach cabin had plenty of charm but very little usable space. The challenge was creating room to live, work, and relax without materially expanding the footprint. By transforming the existing garage and workshop, we reimagined what the home could be, adding a bedroom, den, office, and full bath within the original structure. Every inch was planned with intention, resulting in a cabin that feels open, functional, and beautifully balanced. What once felt tight now lives far larger than its square footage, proving that thoughtful design can have extraordinary impact.
“Neighbors stop by just to admire the transformation.”

Vacation Home in Mexico - Relax and Recharge
This vacation home in Mexico was designed to be a true retreat a place to unwind, reconnect, and welcome friends and family with ease. The challenge was creating a space that felt both elevated and effortless, balancing beauty with comfort while making the most of the surrounding landscape. By thoughtfully planning the layout, we created a central living space that’s pperfect for gathering, with private bedroom suites on either side to give each guest a private place to rest and recharge. Layered patios, a sun-soaked pool deck, and a rooftop terrace extend living outdoors, capturing serene views in every direction. Even the site placement and long-term planning open opportunities for future expansion without disrupting the harmony of the home. The result is a space that feels timeless, warm, and distinctly personal.
“It’s beautiful, comfortable, and truly ours exactly the retreat we hoped for.”
— M. Ehle
Forever House Remodel - Finding the Flow
This client’s home had been remodeled and added onto so many times that the layout no longer made sense. The space lacked cohesion, rooms felt disconnected and circulation was awkward, making it difficult to know where to begin. By stepping back and reimagining the entire footprint, we were able to reclaim underutilized spaces and give every square foot a purpose. Today, the living room and kitchen are the centerpiece with sweeping water views, and the expanded dining area opens effortlessly onto the terrace now a favorite spot for meals, projects, and gatherings with family and friends. Within the existing walls, we also carved out a full primary suite, walk-in pantry, powder bath, storage, and a functional drop zone no additional square footage required. What once felt disjointed now feels cohesive, functional, and genuinely welcoming.
“It finally feels like home.”

Reimagined Kitchen - The Heart of the Home
This family loves to cook, gather and entertain – but the original layout held all of that back. Storage was limited, movement was cramped, and hosting felt more like work than pleasure. By rethinking the flow, borrowing space from an adjacent guest room, and creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection, the entire experience changed. Today, the space is open, purposeful, organized, and welcoming, becoming the true heart of the home for daily life and celebrations alike.
“Our new kitchen has completely transformed the way we cook and connect with family and friends. It has become the heart and soul of our home!”
— J. Whidbey
Urban Duplex - Optimized for the Next Chapter
Set on a tight urban lot, this duplex needed to support an evolving lifestyle while helping offset the cost of living in a sought-after neighborhood. The challenge was to create two complete three-level homes each comfortable, flexible, and private while integrating income generating space and maintaining a cohesive, thoughtful design. Through intentional space planning and layered functionality, the primary home maximizes every square foot. The upper-level lives as a fully realized residence with fluid gathering spaces and access to expansive views, while the middle level offers adaptable rooms for work, hosting, and day-to-day ease. A separate two-bedroom apartment was seamlessly integrated into the basement to provide both privacy and meaningful rental income. The adjoining home mirrors the same three-level layout, designed with durable, cost-conscious finishes that support long-term rental use without sacrificing flow or comfort. The result is a pair of multi-purpose homes that feel open, efficient, and ready to evolve meeting today’s needs while creating financial freedom and possibilities for the years ahead.
“What emerged is a space that truly works for our rhythm - flexible, efficient, and designed to adapt as life changes”
